Enhance your student's creativity through visual storytelling by utilizing essential creative and digital skills, teaching students how to tell their own creative visual stories. This course focuses on Adobe Express, an industry-standard tool that gives students and educators everything they need to create standout graphics, flyers, presentations, portfolios and videos, allowing for a user-friendly introduction to digital literacy and creative thinking skills. Adobe Express is free for education and is relevant to K-12 students and teachers.

Best Practices for Alternative Schools - A Roundtable Discussion LIMITED

Join staff from Monte Vista School District’s alternative school, the Byron Syring DELTA Center, for a round table discussion of best practices and challenges in alternative education. Topics will include attendance strategies, individualizing instruction, student check-ins, motivational strategies, structured class offerings, curriculum modifications, working with community partners, expanding elective offerings, and other relevant topics. 

Staff from area alternative schools and principals of traditional schools wanting to learn more about alternative schools will find this networking session helpful.
